Stop Motion Animation

We were challenged to do a video to test our skills in stop motion animation. Our video turned out to be 150 frames long, making it about 10 seconds. We did a fight sequence by lying on the floor and moving about every frame. This made it look as if we we doing flips and flying through the air.

The easiest bit of the video to do was coming up with the idea and how we could film it to look better as well as the editing. The hardest thing was moving just enough for the next frame and knowing how it would look on the camera. (Also was very painful to hold the same position.) Timing was also difficult for when we jumped in the air to get us in the air on the camera and both people being in the air.

The frames were at twelve frames per second, meaning our movements had to be done in twelve frames for just one second. Stop Motion Animation takes a lot of patience and time to get the best product possible. For us the video was 150 frames altogether for just over 10 seconds of footage which took about 30 minutes to record at 12 frames per second.
